This month I am pursued the question whether biodynamic light produces really that much higher costs than conventional LED installations.
Study results: Costs
by 2020, 7% of the General lighting should be organic. Last year, the Central Association of the electrical industry (ZVEI) has examined exactly what advantage a principal specifically it has to use dynamic and not only LED light. Because more health and more satisfied workers, this is well and good, but always the result should be at the end. In the industrial sector for example, in a company with 750 employees who assemble electronic components, increases productivity alone due to the lighting by 4.5%, while decreases the error rate to 1%. The lighting level is raised for this on 2000lx and adapted to the light color daylight. The annual electricity cost of biodynamic installation is €54,000 compared to €42,000 for a conventional LED light solution. All the benefits together (well, that there's 1% fewer sick days and average employees stay one year longer at the company) yield an annual benefit of almost 900,000 euros.
Costs and benefits in Office buildings
In Office buildings, it looks similar to: there not the whole area would be relevant for human centric lighting. The electricity costs would be higher than in a standard-LED solution €2000, for productivity would be higher but the sick leave of less, the longer seniority and the company as a whole more attractive, saving costs in finding new employees. It all adds up to €111,000.

The only what the Central Association of the electrical industry (ZVEI) not taken into account, are the one-time cost for such installation. Because I can help but because Yes manufacturer for biodynamic light plan light. Basically you can say that the extra cost for human centric lighting is not large.
Comparison of different ups lights
When plan light for instance there is all surfaces and all profile lamps in a high-output version, a low output version and dynamic white light. The biodynamic light are the output between high and low. The low and high-output lamps have comparable prices, the HCL lamps cost about 35% more. But in the project that is sometimes very different: If for example 500 lx are required in a project, I can make it with different lights and will need many different lights. The biodynamic version cost about 500 lx in a sample room of 70 m² €7,800.

Can be either also lx the same room lighting with 2 high-output lamps or 4 low output to 500, however without changing the light colors and all financial benefits listed above.

The high-output version would approximately €4,000 cost cause and less uniformity.
The low-output version, however, would be very evenly, would but with approx. mean also the highest investment €8,000.

For the price of a standard-low output installation can be done so also a biodynamic installation, then for all users of health and financial benefits.
Control costs for all three solutions are also comparable: all plan light lights are DALI controllable, and are programmed in the same way.
